Kati Wanek-Forsythe Courts in Arcadia
Racket sports are made to be played for a lifetime. It’s about staying active, playing with family and friends, getting involved in the community, and providing a space to escape everyday life. Arcadia, Wisconsin is proud to offer a wide variety of outdoor spaces which now includes the Kati Wanek-Forsythe courts, home to six full-sized pickleball courts and one full-size tennis court. From the casual player to seasoned professionals the courts offer a space for all to enjoy.
These newly refurbished courts are open to the public and were made possible from a generous donation from Ronald and Joyce Wanek. Additionally, the efforts of Ashley Furniture Industries representatives: Mike Moran, Matt Goulette, Gary Bautch, Ben Golden; City of Arcadia Mayor Kevin Mayzek; Jason Lockington, Lynn Sonnetag, Premium Contracting, Monarch Paving, River Valley Fencing and Surface Pro brought the courts to life.
Kati is honored to be part of this impactful refurbishment project. Her love for tennis began on the Arcadia tennis courts located next to the former Paetow Pool after lessons received from Bill Koslo. Kati values the many friendships which have been made on the tennis courts and is inspired by people who play a good game of tennis well into their 80’s. To the many others who will share these courts, lace up your tennis shoes, grab a racket, and enjoy this premier outdoor space.
