ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Arcadia will be accepting sealed bids on the purchase or demolition of two (2) houses located at 562 and 568 East Main Street, Arcadia, Wisconsin, respectively. Bids may be for one (1) house (and, if so, shall indicate the address of the house on which the bid is submitted) or for both houses. All bids shall include all services for removing or demolishing the house and any other buildings on the property and for all costs for complying with City of Arcadia Code of Ordinances section 162-10 if moving the house or section 162-11 if demolishing the house. Bids shall be enclosed within a sealed envelope with “House Relocation Bid” or “House Demolition Bid”, as appropriate marked on the outside of the envelope and may be submitted to the City of Arcadia City Hall at 945 South Dettloff Drive, Arcadia, Wisconsin 54612. To be considered, bids must be received by the City of Arcadia at the City Hall no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Bids will be opened and an award may be made at the meeting of the common council of the City of Arcadia on October 16, 2024. The closing on the purchase of the houses will be on or before October 23, 2024.
The successful bidder will be required to remove the house and any debris from the real property on which the houses are currently located no later than October 31, 2024. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all of the applicable terms and conditions of City of Arcadia Code of Ordinances section 162-10 in moving the house or section 162-11 in demolishing the house.
The City of Arcadia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City of Arcadia.
